What Folliclever is

Folliclever helps you take consistent photos of your scalp and compare them over time. It gives estimates and measurements from your photos, and shows how they change between scans, with a dashboard that summarises where you are and suggests a next step. It can also make illustrative previews, pictures made by a computer from your photo, and write short answers about products and your routine, both described below.

Not medical advice

Folliclever is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. Treatment tracking only records what you tell us and compares your photos over time. It does not say whether any treatment is right for you. Results are estimates made from phone photos. They are not exact counts or clinical measurements, and they can be wrong, especially when photos are blurry, dark, uneven or taken differently each time. Do not use them to decide on, start, change or stop any treatment or medication. If you are worried about your hair, scalp or health, speak to a qualified doctor. Illustrative previews and written answers are not predictions or advice either, and the encouraging wording we use is there to help you keep going, not to promise a result.

Illustrative previews

A preview is a picture made by a computer from one of your photos, to show in an imagined way what your hair might look like after some months of something you choose, such as a treatment or a habit. It is for motivation only.

• It is purely an illustration. It is not a photo of a future you, not a prediction, not a forecast, not a promise or guarantee, and not medical advice. Your real result may be different, smaller or none.
• Where it comes from. It is made from estimates based on published research and other external sources, which we show with the preview. These are general, not about you, and we do not claim a doctor has reviewed how we use them.
• What you need first. Previews are part of Premium, with three pictures each month. Each time you choose 3, 6 or 12 months ahead and we make one picture. To make one you tell us your routine: at least one treatment, your diet and your exercise. A preview is drawn from what you do, so without a treatment there is nothing to show. A photo must show a scalp; we do not make previews from drawings, screens or other things.
• You must confirm first. Before we show you a preview you must confirm that you understand it is only an illustration. If you do not confirm, we will not show you previews. We ask again if the notice changes.
• Do not use it to decide. Do not rely on a preview to start, change or stop any treatment or medication, or to judge your health.
• Do not present it as real. Every preview is marked as an illustration. Do not remove the mark, and do not share a preview as a real result, as a before-and-after, in advertising or to sell or promote anything, or in any way that could mislead someone.

Written answers (Ask Future Me)

Ask Future Me writes short answers for you about products you type (such as how well one may suit you, what it may do and what its downsides are) and about what could be better in your routine. An artificial intelligence service writes them from your scan results, profile and routine, and from its general knowledge of published research.

• It is not medical advice. An answer is not a diagnosis, a prescription or a recommendation to start, change or stop anything, and it gives no doses. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Nobody at Folliclever and no doctor has checked it, and we do not claim it is backed by sources we show you.
• Do not rely on it. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before you start, change or stop any treatment or medication, and about any health condition, pregnancy, or sudden, patchy or fast hair loss. Any prescription medicine an answer mentions needs a doctor.
• What you type. Type only the names of hair or scalp products. Do not type personal details, instructions meant to change how the service works, or anything unlawful. We may refuse or remove answers for misuse.
• Limits. A free account has one written answer, for life, and Premium has ten each month. An answer that fails does not count, and deleting an answer does not give it back.
• Do not present it as advice. Do not share an answer as medical advice, in advertising, or to sell or promote anything, or in any way that could mislead someone.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, use Folliclever only with the permission of a parent or guardian. You need an account to use the service, and you sign in with your existing account. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

Your photos and information

• You keep ownership of your photos and information.
• You give us permission to store, process and analyse them, to show them back to you, and to let our authorised team view them to run, support and check the quality of the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission lasts while you have an account and ends when you delete it.
• Upload only photos of your own scalp and hair, or of someone who has agreed and is old enough to agree.
• Do not upload anything unlawful, indecent or that belongs to someone else, or photos that are not of a scalp.
• Give accurate details, including your date of birth and the date each photo was taken, because results and comparisons depend on them.

Using the service fairly

You agree not to:

• break the law, or use Folliclever to harm or harass anyone;
• try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or into our systems;
• copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the service, or work around its limits;
• use the results or previews to mislead others, for example by presenting them as a medical assessment or an illustration as a real result.

To keep the service fair and affordable, each account has limits. A free account has one analysis and one written answer, each for life. Premium has three analyses, three Future Me pictures and ten written answers each month. An analysis can include up to 4 photos. Each scalp area can also be scanned once a week, and an analysis, picture or answer that fails does not count. These limits may change.

Plans and changes

Some features may depend on your plan, and features, limits and results may change or be withdrawn as we improve the service. We may update the way estimates are produced, which can make new results differ from older ones.

Premium

• Premium is a monthly subscription. The price is shown before you subscribe, and you pay on our payment provider’s site.
• It renews automatically every month, and our payment provider charges you each month, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on the Premium page or in your payment provider account. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
• If a payment is returned to you, the Premium time it gave ends. If your Premium ends, your photos, results and history stay with your account, and your account goes back to the free plan.
• What Premium includes may change over time.

Availability

We work to keep Folliclever available but do not promise it will always work, be error-free or be free of interruptions.

Ending your use

You can stop using Folliclever and delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the service. When your account is deleted, your photos, results and details are removed as set out in the Privacy Policy.

Our rights

The Folliclever website, app, design, text and methods belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as these terms allow.

Limits of our responsibility

The service and its results are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on the results, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the previous 12 months (or, if you paid nothing, a nominal amount). Nothing in these terms limits any right or responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and tell you in the app when a change is significant. Using Folliclever after a change means you accept it.
